Some winter Heliamphora flowers.

As promised a couple of weeks ago, I am now posting again pictures and articles on my cultivated plants. Right now, I have a few Heliamphora flowering in the conservatory. Here is a couple of them:

Heliamphora minor var. minor.

The whole plant with the long flower scape.

And my nice specimen of Heliamphora parva that I already showcased not so long ago. I am always impressed by the size of the flower. I initially planned to pollinate it in order to produce some seed but alas I ran out of time during the year end celebration. Next time, hopefully. :-/

I had considered to cut the inflorescence for I feared it could exhaust the plant, although it does look healthy overall. But as I was approaching the scissors, I noticed there were a couple of offshoots that were developing a bit smothered by the living Sphagnum. I put the moss apart so that the young pitchers can now benefit from the artificial light and I finally put the scissors away. If the plant can produce both flowers and offshoots at the same time, I guess I will be able to enjoy this beautiful Heliamphora parva as it is for a bit longer.
